Rooftop Garden to be Shown on CLTV

The rooftop victory garden will be shown on CLTV as part of a series on the Urban Heat Island effect and what is being done to combat it. The rooftop victory garden is located atop True Nature Foods on 6034 N. Broadway in Chicago.

The series will air 23,24,25,26 August with reporting from meteorologists that are studying the phenomenon.

Vegetated Wall Bag prototype unveiled

A prototype of a living wall system was unveiled today on the Urban Habitat Chicago [ link ]. The prototype was created from found materials from the Chicago area. The 24 February 2007 release party will allow the actual product to be seen by the select members of the public. Vertical growing systems will enable customers to grow a great number of plants in a small space. Plants will be used in air purification and wastewater recycling.
